Awards and Recognition

Prairie Crossing Charter School has received significant recognition and won many awards over the past 12 years.
Some of the highlights include:

Named one of the top 53 charter schools in the United States by The Center for Education Reform in 2007. Recognized as a leader by BP in 2004, with a focus on education as the cornerstone of innovation and progress. Named as one of Chicagoland's 11 most valuable resources by BP for going beyond in math and science education and environmental leadership.	Featured in an article in "Chicago" magazine in April of 2009 as one of the best charter schools in the area. Received a "Charter Up!" award from the Illinois Network of Charter Schools for our innovative Farm to Table program.
