AUCTION

Auction planning has begun! The Auction will take place on Saturday, April 21st, 2012 at Greenbelt Cultural Center in North Chicago. If you have ANY questions, please feel free to contact Sarah Eisner Kirch, Director of Development, here or at skirch [at] pccharterschool [dot] org.

As you likely know, the Auction is PCCS' largest fundraising event. It has been increasingly successful over the years, and we are hoping to push that envelope even more this year by changing the format of the Auction. This year, (drum roll, please!), we are debuting Prairie Crossing Charter School's first ever ONLINE AUCTION! Don't fret, we will still hold a live event, so mark your calendars NOW for Saturday, April 21st, 2012. The online auction will be held from April 4th through April 19th, and will be a tremendous opportunity to expand our reach geographically, in order to encourage more businesses to donate and more people to purchase auction items from us! The live event will still feature silent and live auction items, including the famous classroom projects, and promises to be an exciting event! More details on all of this will follow in the near future, so keep an eye out for announcements via the website and Friday newsletters!

I am currently seeking volunteers to help with the following projects:

Become a member of the Auction Planning Committee! Attend a meeting to learn more and figure out how you can help… there are many opportunities to help out from home, in any hours you are willing to give. Please email skirch [at] pccharterschool [dot] org to find out the date, time, and location of our next meeting.
Help us secure donations of goods and services from local, regional, national, and/or international businesses. We encourage all families to solicit donations from friends, family, and businesses they frequent. These donations can be used in either the online auction or the silent auction at the live event. This option is a great way for ANYONE to help, including working parents, as you can make phones calls or visits to businesses in the evenings or on weekends. Please utilize the cover letter and donation form to secure donations and see the parent information letter to learn more. Prior to seeking donations, please contact Sarah Kirch, Director of Development, to ensure that our efforts are coordinated and efficient!
