Volunteering
Role of Volunteering at PCCS
One of the main roles of PCCS’ Parent Staff Organization is coordinating the volunteers needed to make our school run smoothly. Parent volunteerism is an integral part of life at PCCS and is vital to the continued success of the school. Additionally, studies have shown that parents who volunteer at their children’s schools make a positive educational impact:
Schools with strong parent involvement programs experience profound benefits for students, parents, teachers, and administrators. Research shows that when parents are involved in students’ education, those students generally have higher grades and test scores, better attendance, and more consistently completed homework." ~ National Parent Teacher Association
There are many opportunities at PCCS for the sharing of talents, knowledge and skills. Volunteering is also a great way to get to know the PCCS community on a very personal level.
