Mrs. Sutchar is native Austrian. She attended the University of Vienna where she studied musicology, and she received a diploma for piano pedagogy and performance from the Academy for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. She has been teaching piano for over 20 years and is still teaching many children and adults. After coming to the United States, marrying a native Chicagoan and having five children, she went back to school and earned a teaching certificate in Music Education from Northeastern Illinois University. She has taught Elementary Music at school district U-46 and has been with Prairie Crossing Charter School since 2002.
