Shirley Berger grew up in the Chicago area and now lives in Northbrook. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Stern College in NYC and has taken many additional upper level classes and professional training in Education.  She has taught Kindergarten, first and second grades as well as pre-school, junior high and adults.

Shirley Berger has lived in New York City, Israel, Los Angeles and Phoenix. She has eight children, three boys and five girls!  She has many grandchildren!  Shirley Berger’s love of children, animals and gardening has led her on the path to teaching in our very unique school—Prairie Crossing Charter School.

Shirley is looking forward to completing her ninth year here at PCCS in this exceptional learning environment. She is particularly excited because her first kindergarten class is graduating from Prairie Crossing Charter School this year.
